This is one of those tv shows that make...Oh, HIMYM. This is one of those tv shows that makes me want to rant. And you explain perfectly the WHY. I wasn't even a huge Barney/Robin fan. I did love The Mother, but I think you make a fair point about how alike she is to Ted. It's just ...I felt dissapointed in the journey. I feel like watching tv is like signing a contract with the writers. In a way, you agree to take the ups and downs, as long as the story makes SENSE. And yet, to move this along, they had to do things that contradicted the ending they'd planned all along. They could have changed the ending, of course. Many, many shows have done that and suceeded. This one decided to stick to the original plan. And, two or three seasons in...or, even five seasons in, I could have lived with that. But, in the end ...it was dissapointing. <br /><br />I haven't even found the stomach to re-watch.
